Presenting at 2012 #Lectora User Conference: Creating Scenario Based Training with Snap! by Lectora
I'll be presenting onThursday, May 24h, 2012 at 11:00 AM – Creating Scenario Based Training with Snap! by Lectora. This will be at the 2012 Lectora User Conference in Chicago (Marriott on Michigan Avenue).
This session will be held in a computer lab, and you are welcome to bring your own device as well (just come with the Snap! plug-in for PowerPoint installed).
We will have 75-minutes to walk through developing interactive PowerPoints and harnessing the powers of Snap! by Lectora to build learning scenarios and non-linear learning modules. Resources will be provided, including: a PowerPoint deck that we will build branching scenarios with, and a job aid for using PowerPoint and Snap! by Lectora.
You can download a 30-day trial of Snap! by Lectora and Snap Empower! from the products website. At the 2011 conference, Lectora introduced Snap!, and this fall – they introduced Empower which is built with the Flypaper technology Lectora purchased. I wonder what the 2012 conference will bring?
Why Snap! by Lectora?
A few people have asked me, "Why do you advocate so strongly for this product?" Snap! is just one of the tools in my tool chest. However, I am offended by the cost of many elearning development tools. Lectora came out with the first powerful rapid elearning development tool, which is on par with Adobe Presenter and Articulate Presenter – for a fraction of the cost… $99. As someone that has often had to fork over for his own software, I can appreciate a low cost and powerful tool.
